COIRÓN

Coirón (noun) /ˈkɔɪ.rɒn/: The native grass of the Patagonian pampa, enduring wind, cold, drought, and poor soil, surviving where little else does.

In the far south of Chilean Patagonia, a dwindling group of men known as ‘puesteros’ live in near solitude, tending livestock across vast near-abandoned ranches. Their interweaving stories reveal an intimate portrait of men living at the edge of the world. A meditation on stillness, human resilience and the inevitable passing of time.
